Status of compatibility with accessibility requirements

on design strives to ensure that its website is accessible and usable for all persons, including persons with disabilities.

This website is currently partially compliant with recognised accessibility requirements due to certain incompatibilities and limitations currently under review and improvement.

For assessment purposes, accessibility is oriented in particular toward the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Conformance Level AA, and the relevant European accessibility standards customarily used as technical reference points in this field. Austrian public-sector accessibility statements use WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549 as their benchmark framework; for a private website, using the same benchmark is a prudent and widely recognised approach.

Non-accessible content

Despite ongoing efforts, certain content or functions may currently not yet be fully accessible. This may include, in particular:

• individual text or interface elements where colour contrast is not yet sufficient in every case;

• individual navigation, interactive, or embedded elements that may not yet be fully operable by keyboard alone;

• image, animation, video, or other media content for which alternative text, captions, transcripts, or equivalent accessible alternatives may not yet be available in all cases;

• individual structural or semantic elements that may not yet be fully optimised for assistive technologies such as screen readers.
   

on design is working on the continuous review and gradual removal of known accessibility barriers. These examples also align with the kinds of barriers commonly highlighted in Austrian accessibility materials, such as contrast, keyboard usability, text alternatives, captions, and structure.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 10 April 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment of the website.

The website is reviewed on an ongoing basis in order to identify and reduce existing barriers and to improve accessibility over time. Austrian model accessibility statements commonly identify the scope, compliance status, inaccessible content, and whether the statement is based on self-assessment.

To the extent that mandatory legal accessibility requirements apply to the services offered through this website, such requirements shall remain unaffected by this statement.

If this website offers services in electronic commerce to consumers, accessibility obligations may arise under the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG), which implements Directive (EU) 2019/882 and has applied since 28 June 2025. WKO’s guidance specifically notes that B2C websites, web shops, booking tools, and similar electronic commerce services can fall within scope, while microenterprises providing services are generally exempt. Important: the Austrian complaint bodies described under the WZG relate specifically to public-sector websites and apps. They should generally not be copied into a private-company accessibility page unless that legal regime actually applies.
