Just opposite the eastern part of HafenCity, the new Grasbrook district will create an urban space that offers prospects for 16,000 jobs and 3,000 flats for around 6,000 residents. An initial information and discussion event was held in HafenCity on Friday, 1 June 2018.

To Grasbrook:
The new Grasbrook district covers around 46 hectares of land. It's got space for offices, commercial buildings, research centres and laboratories, as well as flats, shopping facilities, a primary school and daycare centres. What's more, 4.9 kilometres of publicly accessible waterfront areas are to be created, combined with attractive green spaces and high-quality public urban areas.
