Creative Credit Matters: Editorial Design for HafenCity News by on design

Creative work should get proper credit.

Man in white shirt and jeans reads a German news magazine, leaning against a gray tiled wall with sunlit floor stripes.

For the HafenCity News, on design did the editorial design, visual concept, and overall design system. This includes the way it's set up, the fonts used, the visual style, the color scheme, and the overall structure of the content.

That's why we've got to talk about how Olli Design is communicating right now. From our perspective, their post makes it seem like they created the editorial design and concept. Nope, that's not right.

Olli Design might be sticking with the current design, but the original development, concept, and design system were created by on design.

It's not cool to claim someone else's work as your own. It makes the value of creative authorship less clear and makes it harder to tell the difference between developing a concept and just applying or continuing it.

We're asking Olli Design to make the communication clearer by saying that the editorial design and concept for the HafenCity News were developed by on design.

Creative credit matters. It's all about being transparent, showing respect, and acting with integrity.

If the post isn't corrected, we'll have to think about talking to legal counsel about other steps.
